Hello, hello, hello and welcome to episode 31 of the Spirit Level Podcast. Well, how did you feel going through the Lionsgate Portal opening last weekend? I have to say it pretty much knocked me for six. I slept all day Sunday and my energy has felt a little bit overwhelmed when I was expecting to feel rejuvenated and energised.
It proper overwhelmed me. How about you? Spiritually speaking, the Lionsgate Portal opening is very similar to what happens physically when Earth experiences major solar flares or storms. The extra energy in the atmosphere can knockout communications and send things a little bit haywire, and I definitely experienced this, this weekend.
In fact, I had a reading booked in on Saturday and my energy was so off kilter, I actually offered the client a refund because I was just not feeling it and I was not happy with the energy at all. They were, they were perfectly fine, so I've come to realise that we're very much in need of a break for some spiritual maintenance and to recharge the old spiritual batteries. And just to let these new energies settle down a bit.
So, I've got some time booked off from the day job as has Mr M and we're just going to be taking a much-needed break. Hopefully somewhere sunny, COVID permitting, so as such, there's going to be no podcast episodes broadcast for a few weeks, and this is going to be from Sunday the 22nd of August, and we will back with season 2 on Sunday the 3rd of October, hopefully all refreshed and raring to go again for a new season, so I hope you'll join us then.

Welcome to CRYSTAL CORNER and this week we meet the very etheric, very mystical, MOONSTONE, totally, totally feminine energy. MOONSTONE is the High Priestess of Crystal Land. She's incredibly powerful, so powerful in fact, I can't wear it.
It really used to set me off balance both physically and emotionally, but that was some time ago, so I'm going to try and work with her again and see if I get the same results. I'll keep you posted. Linked directly to the moon itself, the stones energy waxes and wanes directly with the Moon, so it's more powerful on the waxing and less so on the waning, so be very careful when and how you use her energies.
MOONSTONE amplifies emotion and can be overwhelming if you're not prepared for it. Secrets, intuition, and delivery and delving into the darker parts of the psyche is what she is all about. But she's also very reflective and can help you work through any emotional issues, old or new.
Being the stone of the goddess, MOONSTONE supports all matters relating to female health, so that's reproduction, fertility, menstruation, hormonal, birth, breastfeeding, anything balance related, and is linked to the moon. So, sleep and dreams being the goddess of the moon, she's also the gatekeeper to all matters metaphysical, so she can open the mind to synchronicities, impulses, visions, psychic ability and universal energy.
As I've said previously, she's very, very powerful and whilst totally feminine her energy is not to be trifled with. Mel - Now it's time for listeners questions. What have we got this week, my dear?
MR M - Thank you Mel and hello again everyone. Three listener questions this week.
Mel – Three, OK.
MR M - The first is from Kate in Leicester, who ask -: Does the size of a crystal increase its energy?
Mel - Oh, that is an interesting one. Uhm, I'm guessing that it would. I mean, I've, I've, I've dealt with geodes which are the big, massive churches of crystals and they do give off an enormous amount of energy, but they're not like 1 crystal. They're like a bunch of crystals altogether, so that power in that energy, is, is, you know the whole thing together? Does that make sense?
MR M – Yes
Mel - But there are some very high vibrational crystals such as KUNZITE which are tiny. You can't get big KUNZITE crystals coz they just don't exist in nature, but the power of them is so refined and so strong anyway it doesn't really matter. So, it kind of depends on the crystal itself, the quality of the crystal more than the size of it, but obviously, I a guess volume wise you would get a higher amount of energy off of it.
MR M - Yeah, that makes sense. The only thing that springs to mind when you were just replying to Kate there Mel was that some crystals, if we increase the size, the energy is going to increase that, that might be too much for some people. Does that, does that make sense?
Mel - Oh absolutely, definitely. I mean MALACHITE’s a perfect example of that. I had a very, very tiny amount of MALACHITE, and because it's such a strong crystal, it had a quite a big effect on me personally. Whenever I hold MALACHITE, my feet buzz, that's how strong MALACHITE is. So yeah, and it can be overwhelming, and you don't want to have that near you for too long. And another crystal is HEMATITE for that. You shouldn't wear HEMATITE for any great lengths of time either coz it can be too strong.
MR M – Super stuff Mel, thank you. Who says size doesn't matter! Easy tiger, right? Our second question this week. Be professional.
Mel – I'm not.
MR M - Our second question this week comes from Heather in Bradford, who asks -: I've heard you mention 4th and 5th dimension before in the podcast. Are those dimensions purely on a spiritual level?
Mel - They, they are levels of existence, so uhm, I don't know what she means by a spiritual level, really. Uhm the 4th and 5th dimensions, I think I've explained before is like The Matrix films. That's the best way to describe the dimensions. The 3rd third dimension is when Mr. Anderson is working in his everyday office. The 4th and 5th Dimension is when Keanu Reeves becomes Neo, and he understands that there is another existence, another realm of possibility, another universe. If you like, that is running parallel to the 3rd dimension, and then the 5th dimension is when the energy and the understanding of how you can use and manipulate energy for various effects, like he does with the bullets, and he can take the bullets and say no and.
So, it is spiritual, but it's all linked.
MR M - Thank you Mel, and our final question this week comes from Richard in Doncaster, who asks -: Do spirits contact you in dreams and there's a second part to this one Mel, I think and what is lucid dreaming.
Mel - Hello brother, the answer to this first question is yes. Spirit does contact you in dreams. It's actually the most common form of Spirit contact because your brain and your consciousness are in such a state, in a relaxed state. I think it's even the alpha wave state, I'm not sure, I'll check that out.
But yes, it's easier for them to make direct contact with you. Uh, because your consciousness is more open, it's more relaxed, and it's not so much of a surprise if you like if you, if you dream about somebody, you're also if you have a visitation in dreams, it's very different.
You can be dreaming about something I don't know, normal or abnormal if you like and then suddenly that person will pop up and you will be very conscious of them being there and it's somewhat being out of sync as to why they would be in that situation. So, you wake up, knowing that you've had a visit from that person, rather than it being a dream.
Lucid Dreaming is, is an extension of that. Lucid dreaming is being able to use that conscious state to manifest, to explore, to explore new levels of consciousness. But being very much in control of it rather than your dreams being higgledy, piggledy, and just something that you are experiencing. So that's lucid dreaming.
In addition to that, if you are adept at lucid dreaming and you are able to control your dreams, you are able to direct where you go. So, you can explore the 4th dimension. You can explore the 5th dimension. You can even explore other worlds and that's called ASTRAL TRAVEL, so that's what lucid dreaming is all about, and it's a fascinating area and subject.

Welcome to MR M’s MENAGERIE.
Hello everyone, and thank you for joining me this week, where I will be taking a look at one of the most powerful secret societies in the world, namely THE SKULL & BONES SOCIETY. Now it is probably fair to say that many people will never have heard of this society, but as we delve deeper into it, the names of some of its former members will be known.
So, where and when was the society formed.
Well, for where, we travel to New Haven, Connecticut, in the United States, located northeast of New York and Southeast of Boston, where we find Yale University. Yale, one of the big 3 universities as they are called, the other 2 being Harvard & Princeton, was founded as a Collegiate School in 1701, but adopted its current name in 1718, following the monetary donation by Elihu Yale, one of the wealthiest men in America at the time. Yale had made his fortune by being a member of the famous East India Trading Company, and had amassed a personal fortune, by dealing secretly with Madras merchants in India, over and above company rues and policies. The Universities Latin motto, LUX ET VERITAS (Light & Truth), seems a little bit tongue in cheek, bearing in mind its wealthy beneficiary’s business dealings, however, since its inception, Yale University has grown considerably and is considered by many to be one of the best universities in the world, with a large campus, state of the art facilities, and ownership of properties and land. Yale’s annual endowment is in the region of 31.1 billion dollars!!!!
It has always attracted the powerful and wealthy through its doors, and it has produced many notable alumni, including 5 US Presidents, numerous US Supreme Court Justices, heads of state, business and financial leaders and many, many more powerful and influential people in the fields of politics and business.
Now, many universities have societies. They are a tradition and staple of university culture. Almost all are transparent, their members free to divulge and discuss their allegiance and membership of these societies. Not so THE SKULL & BONES SOCIETY, which has led over the years to wild speculation about the society itself and its members. Some of the more fanciful theories that have been published are that the society runs the Central Intelligence Agency (The CIA), that the society was involved in the assassination of President Kennedy, that the Society has and maintains close allegiances with Nazi and far right groups and that the Society has and will continue to advance and promote individuals capable of bringing down established governments to replace them with a New World Order. However, unlike other famous and well-established societies like the Freemasons, THE SKULL AND BONES SOCIETY keeps it traditions and membership a closely guarded secret. Infact, up until the early 1970’s a list of members of the society was on record, but this has since been withdrawn.
So, why was the Society formed? Well, it’s founder William Huntington Russell, founded the Society in 1832, following a visit to Europe, where it is believed he visited and met with members of an esoteric society in Germany. This Society is widely believed to be that of the Bavarian Illuminati, founded in 1776, whose members aimed to oppose superstition and religious influence over public life, and abuse of state power. Russell believed that a number of societies on campus did not fit with his ideal of the world, and with the assistance of Alphonso Taft, set up the Society. As I said earlier, a lot of the practices and ceremonies the Society undertake are not known, but what is known, is that each spring, 15 junior students are selected to join the society. These juniors are picked according to their status and standing on campus, and have traditionally been leading academics, sportsman and those from wealthy and influential families. An inspection of previous documented members shows that the Society almost exclusively recruited those people who would go onto lead influential lives in the fields of business, politics, infrastructure and governance, with the intended aim of the Society to dominate the world and create a New World Order. Its members having been selected, possessed the requisite skills and abilities to alter and effect government, social organization and civilization. Worryingly, a lot of the rhetoric and beliefs of the Society bear close resemblance to Nazism, and the dogma preached and acted upon by Adolf Hitler.
As I mentioned earlier, the Society has had many famous and influential people who have stated that they were members of the Society whilst studying at Yale. More recent society members have included both the 41st and 43rd Presidents of the United States, father and son, George H and George W Bush. Senator John Kerry, Fred Smith, founder of FedEx, Stephen Schwarzman, CEO of The Blackstone Group, Henry Luce, founder and publisher of Time, Life, Fortune and Sports Illustrated magazines. and numerous diplomats and political advisors, and many more high powered and influential figures in the worlds of advertising, entertainment, business, security and finance.
Famously, former US President George W Bush when asked about his membership of THE SKULL AND BONES SOCIETY, simply said “I can’t talk about it, it’s a secret”. Now, if the most powerful person on the planet cannot or will not talk about his involvement in the Society, what could possibly be the reason why?
Well, not unlike the Freemasons, rumours abound about secret rituals taking place, satanic and immoral practices, members being sworn to absolute secrecy, and members being required to aid and assist their fellow members whenever required. Many people who have tried to study and investigate the society believe that the secret rituals and practices undertaken by members are so extreme and that there is evidence of these practices taking place, that fear of disclosure if not abiding by the Society rules would lead to these practices and rituals being disclosed, causing maximum embarrassment to the member concerned, ultimately it is a form of insurance, or put another way blackmail, that keeps all members in check.
The Society’s emblem is skull and crossbones with the number 322 depicted underneath. What the 322 means has been widely speculated on, and although no-one knows exactly, here are a couple of theories.
The 322 refers to the year of the death of Greek orator Demosthenes, which forced the people of Athens to change from a Democracy to a Plutocracy, that change being that the country or society is governed by the wealthy and that those wealthy, elite and ruling class of people derive their power from their wealth. In this new Athenian Society, only the rich and wealthy were allowed to remain citizens.
As an explanation, I think this has a lot of merit. Clearly the SKULL & BONES SOCIETY exists for the furtherment of their members, and indeed no less than 5 have attained the highest office in the world, namely President of The United States. Modern times have seen a shift in public perception, with the gap between the have and the have nots growing. Is the aim of the Society to create a world culture run by the wealthy, with those not fortunate to have the wealth to become servants of this New World Order? Many would argue that the world right now is if not on the road to this, then is certainly, coming to a stop and deciding which way to go.
Another theory as to the numbers 322 comes as a direct result of the founder of the Society, William Russell visiting the German Illuminati, and that 322 simply means the year of formation, 1832, and this society being an offshoot of the original German chapter, therefore chapter 2, giving 322. Again, this makes sense. Don’t forget that the Illuminati were outlawed in Germany, and have together with the Freemasons, become the stuff of legend, and investigative writer’s dream, due to the secrecy surrounding their respective organizations and the rites and rituals both societies practice. There is also the rumoured sinister side of these organizations, with members alleged to being involved in sexual and demonic practices, and members holding the highest echelons in government, business, finance, security and industry, all working together to further their own member's needs. Sounds pretty much what the SKULL & BONES are advocating.
Whatever the reason is behind the Society, the simple fact that its members refuse to divulge a single aspect of what membership involves or what rituals and practices members have to undertake, continues to garner speculation and conspiracy theories. Are the members of the Society involved in satanic and sexual practices? Are they collectively involved in trying to establish a New World Order, for their own benefit? Is there a sense that the society is elitist, and from that elitism a dangerous group of people exist? Well, until someone speaks out, all we can do is speculate.
Just as an aside, if you get the chance, have a look at the 2006 film The Good Shepherd, starring amongst others Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie and Alec Baldwin. There is a sequence in the film that relates to the SKULL & BONES SOCIETY, and it is interesting how and why the sequence is filmed. I won’t spoil it for you, but there is no smoke without fire!!!

Welcome to this week's HOUSEHOLD HOCUS POCUS and hands up who simply cannot function without at least two cups of COFFEE in the morning. Me, me, me, me, me, me, my hand is up!! People who know me and work with me will attest to this. Just don't speak to me until I’ve had 2 cups of COFFEE in the morning. I am not a morning person.
Well, my darlings COFFEE has more than just wake up juice in it. It has magical properties too. Used for centuries in Sufic rituals, COFFEE can clear emotional blockages, generate motivational energy, and speed up other spells.
So, to speed up another spell. Just sprinkle some COFFEE grounds on it and periodically clear and replace with COFFEE grounds until the energy shifts a bit.
Have you got a creative block? Wash your trades tools in an infusion of COFFEE to get things moving again. So, if you use that and a Bay leaf, I can promise you those blocks will be removed. So, if you've a writer and you've got your pens, you get the idea. You wash your pens with this this infusion, and it'll get things moving.
Need to work harder or study harder? You’re lacking motivation? Place a sachet of COFFEE grounds with a few drops of Nutmeg essential oil in the southern corner of your desk. That will get the motivational gears moving again.

25:33 Mel - TIME FOR TAROT
Welcome to this weeks' TIME FOR TAROT and this week we're looking at the 9’s. So, we'll start with the NINE OF WANDS.
When the NINE OF WANDS turns up in a spread upright, it means courage, persistence. But it can also mean that somebody’s faith is being tested or how they do things ordinarily is being tested and it may require them to be being a bit more resilient, but generally it also means they might have had enough of work at the moment. They're a bit tired, feeling hurt or thinking of retirement, but it does not necessarily mean that. But it can mean that they're wanting to change their work environment.
In reverse, it means being on edge, defensive and somebody being paranoid and hesitant.
Onto the NINE OF CUPS in the upright position. This is the yes card. This is the card if you want a definitive answer from the universe. It's the yes card. It's going to happen, it's wishes fulfilled. It's the comfort card. It's happiness and satisfaction and basically getting what you want.
In reverse, it's the exact opposite. Again, it means greed. It means materialism and it means not being happy with the situation.
The NINE OF SWORDS. I call this a lack of sleep card, coz if this one turns up, it usually means somebody is not sleeping very well and they're not sleeping very well because they're anxious. They're worrying, there's a lot of depression about, nightmares, anxiety, health issues, but not serious ones, or they're not facing up to or dealing with the issues at hand.
In reverse, it's actually worse. It means hopelessness, severe depression, and an absolute torment. So, the NINE OF SWORDS is generally quite a negative card, but if there are positive cards around it, that's how you work around that kind of energy.
So, the NINE OF PENTACLES we've got self-sufficiency it's all about luxury, reward, contentment. It is the retirement card, so this is time to enjoy the fruits of your labour. Time to kick back and smell the roses and just have a good time.
And in reverse it means there may be financial setbacks and over investment in work.
