Hello everyone, join me a small medium at large as we explore the world of Spirit, energy, tarot, mediumship, psychic abilities, Angels, oracles, paranormal activity and basically anything downright spooky. Hello, hello, hello and as I'm speaking to you at the time of recording, it's the night of the full blood moon in Sagittarius and the energy is wild. It's also an eclipse moon, so don't be surprised if emotions are running high and truths are being told and faced up to, but it's the time to release, let go, and get shut off anything which is no longer serving your greater good, that's emotionally, spiritually, and physically. 

It's also time for me to dismantle the crystal grid was set up with the new Moon, so I have thanked the crystals very much for their energy and support and I will cleanse them by the light of the moon this evening. Did it work? I hear you ask. Well between you and me and not to go into detail, you'll just have to trust me. 

It has and the racehorse that I bought a share in for Mr M's first wedding anniversary present which is paper, Hurling Magic, bless him, won on Monday, so we're up about £5 so that's the abundance. In other news, as you know we're all about supporting others here at the Spirit Level and I wanted to give you some positive news about a lovely young lady who is associated with the show. 

You may remember, Terry Bernstein.  Teresa was on was my very first guest on the podcast. My very first interviewee. Well, her 16-year-old daughter, get this asked for a course in lash extensions for a 16th birthday. Is that amazing? Turns out she's an absolute natural at it and now at the age of 16 years she is her own businesswoman. Good on you Lil. 

I know your family are proud of you, but we are too.  Folk are all too quick to dismiss the youth of today, but Lily’s proving that there's really nothing to worry about.

03:33 CRYSTAL CORNER 

Last episode we talked about Quartz, the clear Quartz which is the Master crystal. This week we're going to talk about its opposite, but it's another Quartz, but it's ROSE QUARTZ and whilst clear Quartz is very masculine in its energy, ROSE QUARTZ is very feminine in its feel. It's the crystal of peace, love and understanding and not just with others but oneself. It's about acceptance and self-love and forgiveness and that's all included in this stone. 

It's connected directly with the heart Chakra and ROSE QUARTZ is the go-to crystal for heartbreak or trauma, emotional or physical. So, it's also great for anxiety, emotional distress and grief. It's a very, very calming vibrational stone. It's, It's like a big warm hug and a soothing hand on a furrowed brow.  It's the everything's going to be okay message from the universe. 

It's a beautiful pink, rosy colour and it has a very, very positive influence on the wearer and the environments around it. 

I've got loads of ROSE QUARTZ around the house to promote a calm, loving and supportive vibe, and I always wear some when I feel I need a little boost of self confidence in the day. Whilst it feels gentle in energy, it's actually very high in vibration. 

Physical benefits are anything to do with the heart, chest circulation, adrenal fatigue and burnout. Midlife crisis. But it's also very good for supporting anyone with Parkinson's, Alzheimer's or dementia. 

It's very pretty, so it's great as jewellery, which is probably the easiest way to wear it daily, or in ornamental form, you'll see it often as candle holders, oil burners and the like. 

It's a great gift to give to somebody coz it seals that connection, that friendship and that relationship. So, it's a lovely gift to give and I often do that. I give that give a lot of Rose Quartz as presents.

06: 23 LISTENER QUESTIONS 

Mel - So now it's time for your questions. What we got this week darling ? 

Mr M - Thank you Mel and hello again everyone. I have two questions for you this week.  

Mel - Well okay. 

Mr M -  The first one has been sent in from Claire in Peterborough who asks whilst doing a reading for a friend, I had five spirits all at the same time trying to communicate. None of them would step back.  How would you best deal with this situation? 

Mel - Hi Claire, you may get from this answer that Claire is actually a friend of mine and she reached out and so I asked if she didn't mind if I put this on the show and she said that was fine. So, Claire was on my course, and we've kept in touch, she’s a trainee medium as we all are. I am, and she sent this by text message to me and basically my answer is this. If you've got and I've had it myself, several spirits who come forward, a lot of the times, they are so pleased that they can communicate with somebody. They get a little bit giddy, and they won't let each other speak, and they're all trying to get their message across, and they want their say, and there is often the case where there is a little bit of a traffic jam, if you like. 

When you’re just learning and when you’re just trying to tease that information out it can, it can be like word soup or image soup in your head trying to tease apart what these individual messages are. What I would do in this situation Claire is I would ask my guide. I would ask them to step in and to separate these individual people and police it if you want. Because there's no point if it's, if it's going to get gobbledegook and it's all going to get mixed up, you're going to end up giving either incorrect information or mixed-up information, and that's not going to serve anybody's purpose. 

So, they have to have a little bit of discipline too on that side, so I would be asking my guides, my spirit guides and my teachers to step in at that point and they will, to separate them out so that you can hear them or pick up on them a little bit easier. Does that make sense? 

Mr M - It does well, yeah, you need a queuing system like you get at the Post Office without the annoying voice of cashier #5.  

Mel - Yes. That would be handy. 

Mr M - Would be handy. I hate that voice. Absolutely hate that voice anyway, we move on. Our second question this week comes from Alex in Scarborough who asks in your spiritual work, do you use pendulum's? If you do, what are they and how do you use them? 

Mel - Okay, yes, yes. I have use pendulums. I don't use them regularly, but they can be used for various purposes, and the most common one I think most people will have heard of and may have even used themselves unknowingly is when they use a wedding ring attached to a piece of cotton to try and find out the gender of the baby in a pregnancy. Yeah, you heard of that one.  

Mr M – Yeah. 

Mel - Well that's it. That's the basic pendulum. So, your pendulum's can be made out of anything, but it's preferable that they are natural. So, I have several.  I've got a Citrine one and I've also got a Lapis Lazuli one which I really like and suspended on either a string or a chain and you can ask it questions and your higher consciousness will, will answer you via the pendulum. 

So, it's not connecting to spirit. It's nothing spooky, but it is very handy with as a visual aid so you can show other people. So generally, it's considered that if it swings in a circular round sort, like clockwise fashion, it's a positive answer. If it's anticlockwise, it's a negative answer, or if it swings back and forth either way, it's either don't know or you’re not asking the right type of question, so it's usually a yes or no closed question that you have to ask. I’ve also seen pendulums used to find lost things or lost people even on a map and the pendulum will swing as to when you get close to so that bit warmer, colder, warmer, colder. 

I have seen that done. It's very basic, it is closed questions. It doesn't give detail, but sometimes it can be quite handy. So, so yeah, it's a bit like dowsing rods as well. I might talk about dowsing rods at some point, but I'm desperate for a pair of those. Hint, hint. 

So, you're dousing rods can be used in the same fashion, and they've been used for centuries to douse for water and for mineral contents. It's quite amazing the answers that you can get from dousing rods made out of copper, and they will cross. They'll stay forward when there's nothing happening, and if you ask it questions, energies can, including spirit, can cross the rods to give you an answer, and to point you in certain directions. So that's quite exciting.

24:53 HOUSEHOLD HOCUS POCUS 

Now it's time for HOUSEHOLD HOCUS POCUS. 

And in this episode, we're going to be having a look at CLOVES, and I usually associate CLOVES with Yuletide, Christmas time, so mulled wine and the heady, spicy smells. But CLOVES have been used for ages both magically and medicinally, and you can still buy oil of cloves at the chemist, and if you rub it on your gums and you've got toothache, it stops it. 

But CLOVE oil can also be used in love blessings and to bring friendships closer together. So, if that's something that you want to do, just add a couple of drops of clove oil to cider, mead or wine and share it with your friends and that should then bring the friendship closer together.  If you want to bring harmony to a group, if there's a bit of discord, charge some CLOVES with peace, love and harmony, and give everyone one of the CLOVES to carry with them. 

Need a new love interest? Carry some CLOVES. Somebody not telling the truth, well this is a brilliant one, you can make truth tea by pouring boiling water on a CINNAMON stick and three whole CLOVES, add a bit of honey and vanilla essence for taste and leave it for a couple of days. Drinking the tea will help bring about clarity and truth in a situation or person. It also helps channel messages spiritually so, it's useful for psychic and medium ship work, especially if you're feeling a little bit blocked. 

So that's CLOVES.  A great anxiety and stress relieving spicy addition to the magical toolkit. So next week we're going to be having a look at COMFREY. 

26:55 TIME FOR TAROT 

So now it's time for our trip to Tarot land, It's TIME FOR TAROT, and today's card is THE MOON, which is card 18. It's a lovely card, this one, and it's the picture is of a full moon with a crescent within, there are twin pillars and two dogs or wolves howling at the moon, and a stream that runs to the ocean with a crayfish coming out of the water. 

And when THE MOON card appears, this is all about illusion and deception, and therefore often suggests a time when something is not what it appears to be. So perhaps there's a misunderstanding in relation to the issue that's been read about, or there’s a truth that you can't admit to or hasn't been shown to you yet. 

But generally, when THE MOON appears, it's kind of like a little red flag not a major one, just a little one to say, just step back a little bit and wait because you haven't got the whole picture here or you don't know the whole of the situation because you’re missing some information. 

So, in an upright position, THE MOON means deception, difficult periods, fear, hidden things, insecurities and a little bit of confusion. In reversed it can also indicate insomnia, that mysteries are going to be unveiled or that there's a release of fear, unhappiness, or sometimes unusual dreams as well. 

The element is water, so can indicate a PISCES, CANCER or SCORPIO person involved in the mix and the ruling planet is NEPTUNE. 

So, when THE MOON appears, again dependant on what the cards are around it, it just means step back a little bit and wait. Somethings not as it appears.
